“Entrepreneurial Lessons from Stranger Things”: DMUmade programme promises innovative new workshops

DMU Entrepreneurship has teased one of the new workshops coming up in its creative entrepreneurship programme, DMUmade.

"Entrepreneurial Lessons from Stranger Things" is a new, practical workshop which will take place within the programme for 3rd years and recent graduates who want to work on a creative business idea or to learn entrepreneurial skills to apply within a job.

Forget PowerPoint, these sessions are going to be fun!

DMUmade is DMU’s creative entrepreneurship programme for current third year students and recent graduates who have an idea for a creative business which they would like to launch. For first and second years, we will run DMUmade bitesize sessions in the library (details soon).

The programme includes:

  • Access to our workspace one day a week (this will be Tuesdays or Wednesdays to be confirmed)

  • 1-2-1 advice and mentoring

  • Regular workshops covering aspects like ‘Developing and entrepreneurial mindset’, ‘Creating your own e-commerce’ and ‘How to podcast and vlog’

  • Promotion via dmumade.com and the DMUworks Entrepreneurship social media channels

Each DMUmade Entrepreneurship programme will run for the duration of one term, so our first programme will commence w/c 3 October and will continue until early December 2022.

We can only offer a a limited number of places per programme. Subject to a large applications, we may create a second cohort to run on a different day of the week.
