Applications open for the DMUmade Autumn Fair

Applications for the Autumn DMUmade Fair have opened.

The event will take place on Tuesday 4th October 2022 in The Gallery (Vijay patel Building) between 11am and 3pm.

DMUworks Entrepreneurship are offering a limited number of FREE stalls to DMU students, graduates and staff.

Stalls will be allocated at the discretion of the DMU Entrepreneurship team and Gallery staff. Please note:

-          You must make or design the product(s) you wish to sell at the fair

-          Food and drinks cannot be sold at the fair

We will review your application and let you know about the stall decision by 9th September 2022, 11:59PM. Stall allocation decisions are made at the sole discretion of DMU.

Apply for DMUmade - the creative entrepreneurship programme

Applications have opened for our first new DMUmade Entrepreneurship programme for the 2022/23 academic year. Following high demand, we will also be running DMUmade courses for first and second years, as well as 3rd years and graduates.

This is a physical programme, taking place on the DMU campus.

DMUmade is DMU’s creative entrepreneurship programme for students and recent graduates who have an idea for business which they would like to launch, or want to learn and apply entrepreneurial skills within a job. We’ll work on skills like confidence, resilience and self belief as well as practical workshops which will teach you how to podcast, create a website etc.

The programme includes:

• Access to our workspace one day a week (day to be confirmed)

• 1-2-1 advice and mentoring

• Regular workshops covering aspects like ‘Developing and entrepreneurial mindset’, ‘Creating your own e-commerce’ and ‘How to podcast and vlog’

• Site visits and special guest speakers

• Promotion via dmumade.com and the DMUworks Entrepreneurship social media channels

Each DMUmade Entrepreneurship programme will run for the duration of one term, so our first programme will commence in October and will continue until early December 2022.

This is a practial programme - don’t expect PowerPoint-led lectures, but do expect practical and fun sessions!
