Free ticket available for DMU Entrepreneurship Awards 2024
On Tuesday, 5 November, from 2pm – 4pm in the Venue, DMU Made present the annual Entrepreneurship Awards, celebrating the achievements of student and graduate entrepreneurs.
Organised by the DMU Made team in partnership with The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity, the event follows on from Entrepreneurship Day Entrepreneurship Day Tickets in Leicester, United Kingdom (ticketleap.com), highlighting the university’s commitment to young entrepreneurs.
A key feature of the awards will be the final of the annual Pitch2Win competition, where finalists will showcase their business ideas in front of the attendees.
Simon Baines, Enterprise Project Manager said:
“At last year’s events, Alfie Dibrova had an epic and well-deserved evening, winning a hattrick of awards for his fantastic business idea. On the night, he said: “It’s pretty sick, I must admit,” Alfie said. “I’m up until 11pm some nights while working full-time and I’m putting a lot of effort into the business, so to win three awards feels like a healthy recognition and shows I’m doing the right thing.”
Among the other outstanding winners in 2023 were Melvin Riley and Komal Shahzadi, who shared the Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award after a year of achievements following their graduation in September.”
Special guests this year will include Charlie Powell from Capital Dance. and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Harrison Pettman.
Categories for this year’s awards will include:
- Creative Industries Award
- Health & Wellbeing Award
- Fashion Award
- DMU Global Entrepreneurship Champion
- Sustainability Award
- Tech Award
