DMUworks offers students the chance to boost their employability skills whilst at University through our many services whatever year you are in. We are holding a DMUworks Showcase week which allows you to find out more about the services we offer, attend employer webinars and speak to employers at our Virtual Careers Fair.
The DMUworks Showcase takes place week commencing 25th October 2021. Please see below for the schedule:
Monday – Discovery Day
Sessions include: A keynote speech from our Head of Careers, a showcase of our services, a coaching session to help you succeed in your career, Disability and your career, how to use MyGateway, Launching your own business, How to prepare for the Virtual Careers Fair
Tuesday – Experiences Day
5 ways to gain work experience, CV tips, Networking, The value of Placements, Interview and Assessment Centre tips, Hear from current placement students
Wednesday – Future Options
Where to start your graduate job search, Is a Masters or PhD right for you? Post grad placements, Enterprise event, Recruitment/Application Process overview: CV/application form, Cover letter, Psychometric Tests and interviews, DMU for Life
Thursday – DMUworks - Ask us anything
Drop-in to ask us any questions you have relating to your career, Enterprise Hour: Start-up school preview
Friday – The Graduate Recruitment and Placements Virtual Careers Fair
