Terms & Conditions
Please read:
- You must currently be operating a business/brand which is selling products or services which DMUworks Enterprise & Entrepreneurship consider to be ‘creative’ (i.e. physical products, art, photography, filmography etc).
- You must make the product or own the service you sell.
- You must physically handle the product(s) yourself (DMU will not feature a drop shipping business on DMU Made). Any such businesses will be removed from the platform.
- You should sell products and services which are as described and lawful, in accordance to UK law.
- Any product or service that DMUworks Enterprise & Entrepreneurship consider to be controversial or may lead to reputational damage will not be featured.
- You should operate your business professionally at all times.
- You must have a business website or at least one active social media profile (For example: Instagram/Facebook/Twitter/Tik Tok/Pinterest).
- You should keep the information on your website accurate and up to date at all times.
- You must have a delivery and returns policy displayed on your website.
- If you have a website, it must display an email address (not just a contact form).
- You understand that the decision in which businesses are featured on DMU Made is up to the DMUworks Enterprise & Entrepreneurship team at its sole discretion.
- You understand that there is no such appeals process in the event your business is not featured, though we do endeavour to provide feedback where possible, to unsuccessful DMU Made applicants.
- As the business owner, you must be a DMU student, graduate or member of staff in order to be considered for the DMU Made platform
- You grant DMU permission to use the image(s) you supply to us, for the purposes of DMU Made and social media posts.
- You must notify DMU (by emailing: enterprise@dmu.ac.uk) of any changes to your business as stated in these Terms, including change of ownership or ceasing to trade, for example
- If your application to DMU Made is successful and you are featured on DMU Made but later decide you no longer wish feature for any reason, please email: enterprise@dmu.ac.uk to be removed.
- DMU reserves the right to make changes to these Terms periodically and without notice.
- Please note: Being listed on DMU Made does not warrant any sort of endorsement from the De Montfort University (DMU) either expressed or implied or otherwise. DMU will not take any responsibility for issues faced by your customers as a result of dealing with you or your business.
- You understand that your application may be rejected if you supply incorrect or incomplete information in this form.
Please note we will use photography / your logo from the sources you provide in the application form.
Businesses featured on DMU Made may be promoted via DMUworks Enterprise & Entrepreneurship Social Media Channels at our discretion.
By registering for DMU Made you agree that your details may be passed to the DMU Alumni team who may contact you about being listed on the DMUforLife.org Business Directory.
